Le schéma structurel repose sur une base carrée lestée, intégralement gainée d'un cuir lisse de teinte marron camel (fauve), rigoureusement souligné sur ses arêtes de surpiqûres contrastantes façon 'sellier'. Le centre de la base accueille un fût cylindrique en laiton massif profilé de fines cannelures. L'ensemble est couronné par son abat-jour cylindrique à tambour court, également gainé de cuir surpiqué assorti. L'intérieur de ce dernier est revêtu d'une finition dorée réfléchissante, conçue techniquement pour optimiser et réchauffer la diffusion du flux lumineux vers le bas. L'alliance de la rigueur géométrique du laiton et du traitement sellier du cuir permet d'inscrire formellement cette pièce dans le sillage des créations de Jacques Adnet. Directeur de la Compagnie des Arts Français de 1928 à 1959, Adnet s'est imposé comme l'un des maîtres du modernisme de luxe. Très bon état général de conservation.
