Ce dernier, ceint par une lingotière en bronze, accueille une dalle de miroir églomisé présentant un riche motif jaspé aux nuances grises et cuivrées. La virtuosité de la fonte de bronze et le répertoire ornemental signent indéniablement une production de la Maison Charles. Fondée en 1908 par Ernest Charles à Paris, la manufacture se hisse au sommet de la fonderie d'art française au XXe siècle. Très bon état général de conservation.
