The tan leather body is framed by darker contrasting brown borders, firmly assembled with rigorous 'saddle' stitching. The upper lip reveals a gilded brass rim, matching the two dark-patinated lateral ring handles. The main face features an applied oval leather medallion, gold-stamped with the inscription 'CHAMPAGNE GAUTHIER EPERNAY'.
