Article 1 – Purpose
These Terms of Sale govern sales between SAS Art&CO (« Modern Eye Gallery », « we ») and any customer (« you ») for the items presented on modern-eye-gallery.com. Placing an order or a price request implies full acceptance of these terms.
Article 2 – Products
We offer 20th-century design pieces: vintage furniture, lighting and decorative arts. Each item is a unique, pre-owned or vintage piece. The natural signs of age, wear or patina consistent with a vintage object are part of its character and are not considered defects.
Article 3 – Prices and price requests
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD). For most pieces, the final price and availability are confirmed through our price request: submit a request from the product page and we get back to you with a personalised quote, including the best shipping solution for your location. A price is valid at the time the quote is issued.
Article 4 – Orders and payment
An order is confirmed once the quote is accepted and payment (or the agreed deposit) is received. Payment is made by bank transfer. The item remains the property of SAS Art&CO until full payment is received.
Article 5 – Shipping and delivery
We ship worldwide. As our pieces are unique and often large or fragile, shipping is arranged case by case through our network of specialised art-transport partners or major international carriers (e.g. DHL). Shipping cost and estimated delivery time are confirmed with your quote before you commit. Please inspect your item on delivery and report any transport damage within 7 days, with photographs.
Article 6 – Returns
Given the unique nature of our vintage pieces, please contact us before purchase with any questions. Returns are considered on a case-by-case basis; where a return is agreed, the item must be returned in the same condition and return shipping is arranged and paid by the customer. Any statutory rights that apply in your jurisdiction remain unaffected.
Article 7 – Liability
We cannot be held liable for indirect damages or for delays caused by third-party carriers. Our liability is limited to the value of the item concerned.
Article 8 – Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will first be addressed amicably; failing agreement, it will be submitted to the competent French courts.
