DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This side table features a quadrangular brass structure with fluted and tapered uprights, topped with baluster finials. The two clear glass tops, bordered with a fillet of mirror, are set in frames underlined with fine beaded friezes that delicately catch the light. The feet taper elegantly to a point.
This neoclassical refinement — beaded friezes, slender proportions, polished brass — is characteristic of the productions of Maison Jansen, the great Parisian decorating house founded in 1880, supplier to royal courts and the most prestigious residences. Its small occasional pieces in brass and glass are among the most sought-after on the market.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with a fine, even gilt patina, original glass and mirror borders that may show probable micro-scratches and slight oxidation of the silvering inherent to age. A refined side table, alongside a sofa or as a precious bedside table.
