DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Four arms in thick twisted hemp cordage flare out in a supple curve from a central body tightly ligatured with rope, which extends upward into an elegant knotted loop serving as a suspension ring. Each arm ends in a tight whipping receiving the ivory-sheathed faux candle with drips; the gilt suspension chain completes the whole.
This chandelier is a characteristic creation of Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet, whose Golfe-Juan workshop raised marine cordage to the rank of furnishing material in the 1950s; their knotted hemp light fittings, at once rustic and sophisticated, have become classics of the Riviera taste.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Sound and well-tensioned rope with an even blond patina, original faux candles with decorative drips. Electricity checked by an electrician. A warm chandelier for a kitchen, a veranda or a holiday house.
