DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Brass vide-poche in the form of a turtle. Low and elongated, measuring 28.5 cm wide, 18 cm deep and 6 cm high, it sits easily on a console table, a desk or an entrance table. The warm reflections of the brass bring out the silhouette of the animal. French work, circa 1970.
Zoomorphic brass objects were common in interiors of the 1960s and 1970s, when the Mid-Century Modern spirit readily combined whimsy with everyday use. Intended to hold keys, jewellery or loose change, this vide-poche combines a practical function with a decorative presence, and can also be displayed on its own as a small decorative object on a shelf or coffee table.
