DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Each pedestal table presents a circular top fitted with varnished mahogany in warm mahogany-burgundy tones, encircled by a tall brass openwork gallery with finely pierced egg motifs. The turned and fluted central shaft rests on a tripod base with ribbed cambered legs, ending in small crozier scrolls.
This typology of movable pedestal table — openwork gallery, fluted shaft, cambered tripod — is characteristic of the productions of Maison Jansen, the great Parisian decorating house founded in 1880, supplier to royal courts, whose small brass furniture accompanied the most prestigious living rooms.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with a beautiful gilt patina, well-varnished mahogany tops with possible slight marks of use. A precious and mobile pair, perfect as armchair side tables or as occasional bedside tables.
