DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
The circular clear glass top is set within a moulded brass frame carried by four fluted uprights, surmounted by finely chased pinecone finials and ending in bun feet. An X-shaped stretcher, centred on a gadrooned pinecone finial, braces the whole with elegance.
This Neoclassical vocabulary — fluting, pinecones, X-shaped stretcher — is emblematic of Maison Baguès, the Parisian reference in gilt bronze and brass since the 19th century, whose brass and glass coffee tables of the 1940s rank among the classics most sought-after by decorators.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with a beautiful even gilt patina, glass possibly presenting probable surface micro-scratches inherent to use. A luminous and timeless coffee table, which will lighten a classic or contemporary living room.
