DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

This armchair features a structure entirely in natural turned faux bamboo wood, the uprights rhythmed by rings imitating the nodes of the cane. The back and the armrests are pierced with an elegant decoration of X-shaped lattice centred on turned rosettes, framed by fine bars. The solid blond wood seat rests on four turned legs joined by stretchers, ensuring the stability of the whole. This type of faux bamboo seat belongs to the Japoniste and exotic vogue of the late 19th century, popularised in France and Italy around 1900; the so-called Vicario model illustrates this taste for light and graphic structures that herald the seats of verandas and winter gardens. Condition report: Good overall condition. Sound wood with an even blond patina, slight marks of use inherent to age, stable structure. A seat full of charm, enhanced with a cushion, for a bedroom, a veranda or a reading corner.
