DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Each cabinet features a quadrangular mahogany body opening at the front with a door adorned with a stepped brass inlay frame, centred by a brass ring pull. The front uprights, in fluted half-columns ringed with brass, extend into elegantly curved sabre legs ending in brass shoes; the top is underlined by a brass beading.
This neoclassical vocabulary - blond mahogany, brass inlay, fluted columns - allows this pair to be stylistically linked to the productions of Maison Jansen, the great Parisian decorating house founded in 1880, supplier to the royal courts, whose side furniture of the 1940s combines rigour and refinement.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Mahogany with a beautiful warm patina, possible slight marks of use on the veneers, sound brasswork. An ideal pair as elegant bedside tables or as small storage furniture in a sitting room.
