Set of 3 Nesting Tables in Brass and Glass, French Work, by Guy Lefèvre for Maison Jansen, Circa 1970

This set of three nesting tables presents quadrangular structures in patinated brass, with uprights incised with double fillets that underline their verticality. Each clear glass top is set into a moulded frame. The three decreasing sizes nest perfectly one beneath the other, freeing up space when not in use. This rigorous, graphic construction, in burnished brass with a bronzed patina, is characteristic of French design of the 1970s, in the spirit of the productions of Guy Lefèvre for Maison Jansen, who declined the occasional table in brass in strictly architectural lines. Condition report: Good general condition. Brass with an even bronze patina, glass may present probable surface micro-scratches inherent to use. A practical and elegant trio, to be deployed as needed around a sofa.
