DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

This side table features a brass structure with fluted uprights, topped with pinecone finials and joined by double tubular crossbars. The two rectangular tops are entirely sheathed in black leather decorated with a gilt-tooled frieze as a border and a central medallion, in the great tradition of Parisian art leatherwork. The combination of fluted brass, pinecones and gilt-tooled leather is characteristic of the productions of Maison Baguès, the Parisian reference for gilt bronze and brass since the 19th century, whose small occasional pieces adorned the most refined interiors. Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with a fine gilt patina, black leather showing an even patina of use, clearly legible gilt tooling. A precious and understated side table, alongside a sofa or as a bedside table of character.
