Round Neoclassical Brass Coffee Table with Openwork Gallery and Black Lacquered Glass Top, Maison Baguès, Circa 1940

The circular top in black lacquered glass, with a deep polish, is encircled by a brass openwork gallery with finely pierced egg motifs. Four fluted uprights, ending in bun feet, are braced by an X-shaped stretcher centred on a gadrooned pinecone finial, the decorative signature of the whole.
