DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

Each side table presents a quadrangular brass structure with ringed tubular uprights, surmounted by turned baluster finials and ending in tapered feet. The two tiers are fitted with oxidised mirrors with a clouded silver and gold effect, whose shifting nuances give the pair real decorative depth, the lower level forming a stretcher shelf.

These oxidised verre églomisé tiers, much prized by decorators, are found on the productions of Maison Jansen, the great Parisian decorating house founded in 1880, supplier to royal courts, whose small movable brass furniture ranks among the most sought-after on the market.

Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with an even gilt patina; the clouded oxidation of the mirrors is here a deliberate decorative effect, which may be accompanied by probable surface micro-scratches. A pair full of character, framing a sofa or as occasional consoles.
