DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This brass floor lamp is decorated with dolphin heads, a motif inherited from antiquity and widely used in the classical decorative arts. It is by Maison Jansen and dates from circa 1940. It stands 180 cm high on a footprint of 60 × 60 cm. The warm, luminous tone of the brass brings out the modelling of the dolphins and gives the piece a strong presence. Maison Jansen, the great Parisian decorating house, drew extensively on the classical repertoire to create pieces of rigorous design, in tune with the Art Deco taste for stylised antique references. This floor lamp provides ambient light and a decorative accent in a living room, a library or a study.
