DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This so-called « crook » floor lamp features a shaft in black lacquered metal punctuated with brass rings, extending in the upper section into a brass swan neck forming a crook, which projects the light source above the reader. The tripod base with curved, scrolled legs ensures a stable and spirited footing. The black tapered shade with a gilt interior concentrates a warm light.
This crook-on-tripod silhouette is a great classic of French lighting of the 1950s, in the spirit of the productions of Maison Lunel, where the contrast of matte black and gilt brass marks the elegance of the post-war years.
Condition report: Good general condition. Even black lacquer, brass with a soft patina; shade remade to measure. Electricity checked by an electrician. An ideal reading lamp beside an armchair or a sofa, whose crook brings a graphic touch to the sitting room.
