DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Each pricket candlestick rises on a tripod base with arched legs ending in hammered flat feet, ensuring excellent stability. The shaft, of fine height, is punctuated by two twisted sections framing a central ring forged in the mass, a detail that signs the forge work. The top opens into a wide cup fitted with its pricket intended to hold a taper or a thick candle.
This artisanal work of the 1950s belongs to the tradition of church and chateau lighting revisited by post-war ironwork, which turned them into characterful domestic objects, between assumed rusticity and graphic rigor.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Wrought iron with an even black patina, slight surface oxidation inherent to the material. A pair of floor torcheres full of presence, on either side of a fireplace, a door or a farmhouse buffet.
