DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

Each lantern features an open cylindrical cage formed of flat wrought iron uprights joined by two bands, the top closing into a dome of arches surmounted by a suspension ring. Small curved crooks animate the upper part and continue beneath the lower band as scrolled feet, giving the silhouette its marked artisanal character. The interior holds a faux candle on the lower plate, and suspension is by a heavy-link chain. This artisanal ironwork of the 1950s belongs to the rustic and neo-medieval taste of the post-war years, when the black iron lantern established itself in the entrances, porches and corridors of houses of character. Condition report: Good overall condition. Iron with an even black patina, superficial oxidation inherent to the material. Wiring to be checked before use. A charming pair for an entrance, a corridor or a covered porch.
