DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

Each lamp features a turned brass baluster shaft, set on a black lacquered square base that grounds the silhouette. At the top, a right-angled articulated arm allows the light source to be offset and directed, topped with a truncated-cone shade entirely made of brass, whose reflective interior concentrates the light towards the work surface.

This typology of desk lamp with a swivelling arm, which weds the classical vocabulary of the baluster shaft to the functional spirit of Anglo-Saxon library lamps, is characteristic of the taste of the 1970s, which brought brass back to honour in elegant interiors.

Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with a fine uniform gilded patina, sound lacquered bases, working articulations. Electricity checked by an electrician. A perfect pair on a desk, a console or the bedside tables of a bibliophile.
