DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
The lamp wittily adopts the form of an old lantern: a cylindrical base in tightly woven rattan, a central cage with rattan uprights revealing the engraved glass sheltering the bulb, and a high woven chimney flaring into a star-shaped cap. The twisted power cord in a natural tone completes the ensemble. The regular weaving and the warmth of the material diffuse a soft, amber light.
This work in rattan and rope is characteristic of the workshop of Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet, based in Golfe-Juan, whose lighting and furniture in natural fibres embody the spirit of the houses of the Côte d'Azur of the 1950s–1960s, today much sought after by lovers of the Riviera style.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Sound rattan with complete weaving, fine homogeneous blond patina, inner glass in good condition. Electricity checked by an electrician. An accent lamp full of charm, ideal on a shelf, a bedside table or a mantelpiece edge in a seaside spirit.
