DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

Each bedside table features a quadrangular body in dark varnished mahogany, opening with two front drawers fitted with drop handles in brass. The top is framed by gilt brass trim, and brass fillets underline the rails. The whole rests on four tapered legs accented with brass rings and terminating in sabots of the same metal.

This rectilinear sobriety enhanced with brass belongs to the Louis XVI taste reinterpreted by French cabinetmakers of the 1950s, in the spirit of the quality production of the period — a pared-down classicism, close to the aesthetic of the great Parisian decorating houses, which suits both antique and contemporary interiors.

Condition report: Good general condition. Even varnish with slight wear from use, brasses with uniform gilded patina, functional drawers. An elegant and easy-to-live-with pair of bedside tables, flanking a bed or serving as small drawing-room side tables.
