DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

This rectangular coffee table features a brass structure with tapered and fluted uprights, topped with seed finials and ending in spinning-top feet. The aged mirror top, with deep silvering, is set in a molded frame; an elegant X-shaped stretcher, centered with a circular rosette, ensures the stability of the whole while giving rhythm to the base.

This neoclassical refinement — taut lines, fluting, patinated brass — is characteristic of the productions of Maison Jansen, the great Parisian decorating house founded in 1880, supplier to royal courts and the most prestigious interiors. Its brass and mirror coffee tables are among the most sought-after on the market.

Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with an even gilt patina, original aged mirror that may show probable spotting and micro-scratches inherent to age, which add to its charm. A timeless piece that will assert itself in front of a sofa, in a classic or contemporary living room.
