DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This coffee table presents a circular top of veined white marble set into a brass mount underlined by an openwork gallery with screen motifs. It rests on four tapered and fluted legs ending in bun sabots, joined by an elegant X-shaped stretcher with incurved branches, centred on a chased finial.
This Neoclassical vocabulary — openwork gallery, fluted legs, scrolled stretcher — is characteristic of the productions of Maison Baguès, the great Parisian house of art bronze founded in the 19th century, the absolute reference in gilt brass furniture and lighting, much prized by decorators.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Sound marble with beautiful veining, brass with an even gilt patina with slight marks of use. A timeless coffee table, which will bring light and refinement in front of a sofa.
