DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
A rectangular neoclassical style coffee table in brass with two superimposed tiers. The brass frame describes a crisp rectangle of low proportions, the lower tier providing a second display surface beneath the main top. French work in the style of Maison Jansen, circa 1940.
Founded in Paris in 1880, Maison Jansen did much to popularise, in the 1930s and 1940s, a refined neoclassicism that paired brass with sober, rectilinear forms. This table belongs to that taste without being attributed to the house. A quintessential living-room piece, the two-tier coffee table accommodates books and objects while keeping a light silhouette, equally at home in a classical interior or a contemporary setting.
