DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

This rectangular coffee table features a white marble top with grey veining, set on a brass apron adorned with a chased ribboned frieze in cross-hatching that runs along the entire perimeter. The tapering, fluted uprights, underscored by rings, end in spinning-top feet and are joined by an X-shaped stretcher centred with a finial.

This Neoclassical composition — light marble, ribboned frieze, X-shaped stretcher — is characteristic of the productions of Maison Jansen, the great Parisian decorating house founded in 1880, supplier to royal courts and the most prestigious interiors. The detail of the chased apron distinguishes this model from ordinary productions.

Condition report: Good overall condition. Marble with no visible damage, brass with a uniform gilded patina, chasing crisp and clean. A luminous and refined coffee table that will assert itself with natural ease in front of a sofa.
