DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This octagonal mirror features a central glass surrounded by a wide multi-faceted frame alternating black tinted glass and mirror strips, underlined by fine garlands of beaded and stamped brass. Flowered brass rosettes punctuate the junctions of the panels, rhythming the border with refinement. The play of dark and light facets multiplies the light with graphic elegance.
This construction with parecloses fixed by brass elements belongs to the tradition of Venetian mirrors, revisited in the 1970s — notably by Spanish and Italian workshops — with this contrast of black glass very characteristic of the decorative taste of the decade.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Sound glass with likely micro-pitting of use, brass with an even gilt patina. A mirror of fine dimensions that will bring depth and sophistication to an entrance, a living room or a bedroom.
