DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Each stool presents a circular seat in solid oak, decorated with concentric circles hollowed on the lathe that form the whole of its decoration. The front uprights are turned in a string of superimposed balls, while the rear feet, slightly inclined, ensure the stability; stretchers in a low apron, assembled with tenons, stiffen the structure and serve as a footrest.
This vocabulary of string turnings and oak with deep patinas allows this set to be attributed to Charles Dudouyt, a great name of French furniture of the 1940s–1950s, whose pieces combine rustic robustness and an assertive design. A homogeneous set of six bar stools is a rarity on the market.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Oak with a nuanced brown patina, regular marks of use on the seats and footrests, sound and stable structures. The ideal set to equip a bar, a kitchen counter or a high table with character.
