DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Each table rests on curule sides composed of facing iron arches joined by rings, drawing a succession of interlaced half-circles of a very fine architectural rhythm. The rectangular black glass tops, set into molded frames underlined with a red fillet beneath the gilding, nest perfectly one beneath the other. The hammered gilding, nuanced with browns, attests to a fine quality of execution.
This neoclassical vocabulary, curule base, gilt iron, dark glass, allows the set to be linked stylistically to the productions of Maison Ramsay, the Parisian reference for gilt wrought iron furniture of the 1940s, without a firm attribution being able to be advanced.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Gilding with an even patina, black glass that may show likely minor surface scratches inherent to use. An elegant and practical set, to deploy as receptions require around a sofa.
