DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

This valet stand is organised around a polished brass cylindrical stem surmounted by a curved dark wood crossbar, topped by a moulded grip ring. Beneath the crossbar, a brass trouser bar is flanked by uprights with seed finials, while a valet tray with a shaped edge is fixed at mid-height to receive a watch and small change. The tripod base with curved and ribbed legs rests on casters that facilitate movement.

This gentleman's piece illustrates the French art of living of the 1940s, when Neoclassical style brass valet stands equipped elegant bedrooms, in the spirit of the refined productions of the Parisian houses of the period.

Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with a fine gilt patina, sound crossbar wood, functional casters. A bedroom companion both practical and decorative, perfect near a dressing table or in a dressing room.
