DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
A pair of black lacquered metal and brass design wall sconces, in the style of Jules Leleu, circa 1950. Black lacquered metal forms the body of the sconces, while brass, with its golden gleam, underlines their lines. This contrast between deep black and the warmth of polished metal gives the two lights a graphic presence on the wall.
Jules Leleu, a French decorator and ensemblier, left his mark on the decorative arts of the inter-war and post-war years with furniture and lighting of great elegance. These sconces belong to that taste without being attributed to him. Offered as a pair, they can frame a mirror, a fireplace or a bedhead, or punctuate the walls of a corridor.
