DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Each of these wrought iron wall lights has two light arms, and the pair belongs to the vocabulary of the Gothic style, inspired by medieval architecture and decorative arts. Wrought iron gives the lights a robust, graphic presence that reads well against a plain wall or wood panelling. French work, circa 1940; the height given is without candles. The Gothic Revival taste, present in the decorative arts since the nineteenth century, gave rise to a considerable production of wrought iron lighting for entrance halls, staircases and dining rooms. The two light arms provide more generous lighting than a single-arm sconce. Offered as a pair, they suit a symmetrical arrangement around a fireplace, a console table or a doorway.
