DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This side table features a quadrangular brass structure with straight uprights, surmounted by spinning-top finials. The two glass tiers, bordered with a band of mirror, are surrounded by fine openwork galleries with repeated motifs that underline the horizontality of the composition. The whole rests on small feet ending in pads.
This neoclassical purity - straight lines, chased galleries, polished brass - is characteristic of the productions of Maison Jansen, the great Parisian decorating house founded in 1880, supplier to the royal courts and to the most prestigious residences. Its small occasional pieces in brass and glass are among the most sought-after on the market.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with a beautiful even gilt patina, the glass and original mirror borders possibly showing probable micro-scratches and slight oxidation of the silvering inherent to age. A luminous side table, beside a sofa or as a refined bedside table.
