DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Each chair features a bandeau back with a generous arch, openworked with a wide cut-out violin-shaped palmette characteristic of the period. The trapezoidal seat, upholstered in a green fabric with small motifs, rests on slightly curved gaine front legs and sabre rear legs, ensuring the elegance of the silhouette. The walnut offers a fine blond and warm patina.
This set perfectly illustrates the furniture of the Louis-Philippe period, circa 1840: lines inherited from the Restauration, simplified and comfortable, intended for the bourgeois dining room. To gather eight period chairs of the same model is today rare and precious for furnishing a large table.
Condition report: Good general condition. Walnut with a fine old patina, sound structures, upholstery and fabrics in a state of use that may be kept as is or reupholstered in keeping with current taste. A set ideal around a large dining or farmhouse table.
