DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Each chair is moulded in black polypropylene: the back, a tall, supple, slightly curved shell, connects to a seat whose shaped apron with an ogee curve wittily evokes the rails of classic seating. Four tapered, discreetly splayed legs complete a silhouette at once familiar and resolutely contemporary, stackable and usable indoors as well as outdoors.
Philippe Starck (born 1949) designed for the Italian manufacturer Kartell, pioneer of quality plastic furniture, a whole family of seats reinterpreting the archetypes of the chair; the "Miss Global" model illustrates this ironic dialogue between tradition and industry that made the French designer's success in the 1990s.
Condition report: Good general condition. Sound polypropylene, surfaces showing fine scratches and burnishing from use inherent to the material. A practical and witty set, around a kitchen, dining-room or terrace table.
