DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Each lamp features a brushed brass square base from which rise two cylindrical shafts with flat dishes, carrying the lights, as well as a central threaded rod with a thumbwheel allowing the height of the shade to be adjusted. The latter, of truncated-cone form, is covered in a deep green paper edged with a black trim, which diffuses a warm and subdued light to fine effect.
This two-light composition with adjustable shade takes up the principle of the 18th-century bouillotte lamps, reinterpreted here in a resolutely seventies spirit: clean lines, satin brass, geometric volumes. A French work of the 1970s that belongs to the great tradition of the elegant table lamp.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with a uniform gilded patina, shades in fine presentation condition. Wiring to be checked before use. An ideal pair on a desk, a console or bedside tables, for the subdued light of a library.
