DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

Each sconce is organised around a gadrooned cream-painted tole basket, from which a naturalistic bouquet springs: sinuous stems, veined green leaves, orange, yellow and blue florets modelled in cut and painted tole. Two flowering-stem light arms detach from it, ending in gadrooned corolla drip-pans receiving faux dripping candles. The soft polychromy, lightly patinated, makes all the charm of the ensemble. This virtuoso work of flowered painted tole is emblematic of Italian production of the 1950s, heir to the great tradition of 18th-century "flowered tole", which then supplied decorators with rustic luminaires full of freshness. Condition report: Good overall condition. Original polychromy patinated with small wear and occasional paint losses inherent to this type of object, sound structure. Wiring to be checked before use. A romantic pair, ideal in a bedroom, a charming bathroom or a country house.
