DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This table lamp features a cylindrical fluted shaft in gilt brass, flaring into a gadrooned ogee at its base, resting on a circular base entirely sheathed in black leather with saddle stitching. The drum shade, also sheathed in black leather underlined with light topstitching along the edges, reveals a gilt interior that warms the light.
The combination of saddle-stitched leather and gilt brass is the signature of Jacques Adnet, a major figure of 1950s French decor, who raised leather sheathing to the rank of decorative art, notably in his collaborations with Hermès; this lamp belongs fully to his style.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Black leather with a fine patina of use, intact topstitching, even gilt brass. Wiring to be checked before use. A masculine and refined lamp, ideal on a desk or a library side table.
