DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
A mirror combining cork and wood, French work made circa 1970. Cork, a natural material with a warm grain and a slightly granular texture, is paired with wood to create a piece in matt, brown tones. Its compact format makes it easy to hang in an entrance hall, a bedroom or a bathroom.
Cork enjoyed a particular vogue in furniture and decorative objects in the 1960s and 1970s, when decorators sought natural materials that were warm in feeling and easy to work. This taste for raw textures, set against the shiny surfaces of chrome and brass, shaped much of the decorative production of the period, and this mirror offers a simple and warm expression of it.
