DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This mirror features a domed circular frame made of fine rattan stems wound into a continuous twist, forming a regular wreath with a generous curve whose turning movement catches the light beautifully. The round glass is set at the centre, slightly recessed, set off by the thickness of the frame.
This twisted rattan work is characteristic of the Riviera workshops of the 1960s, which rendered the great classics of wall decoration in basketry for the villas and hotels of the Mediterranean coast, in a spirit at once simple and refined.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Sound rattan with a fine glossy honey patina, regular and complete twist, clean glass that may show probable micro-foxing related to age. A warm mirror for an entrance, a bathroom or a wall composition.
