DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

This mirror presents a wide flat circular frame in solid pine, assembled in segments whose radiating joints remain deliberately exposed, playing with the knots and flamed figuring of the wood. The round glass, mounted slightly recessed, is bordered by the gently chamfered inner edge of the frame, which softens the transition.

This assumed working of solid pine, with frank joints and an elementary design, is part of the modernist current of the 1970s that can be stylistically related to the spirit of Pierre Chapo, master of solid wood, or to the Alpine productions dear to Charlotte Perriand. The raw material becomes the sole ornament.

Condition report: Good overall condition. Pine with a fine lustrous blond patina, sound joints, clean glass that may show minute age marks. A warm and graphic mirror, perfect in an entrance, a bedroom or a contemporary chalet.
