DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
The oval panel in solid pine, with carefully chosen flamed graining, receives in reserve an off-centre oval glass, encircled by a hollowed chamfer whose slightly burnt edges underline the design. At the lower part, a small crescent-shaped sculpted pocket, carved and set into the mass, forms a wall catch-all or letter holder, accentuating the organic and functional character of the object.
This work in solid pine with free forms and visible shaping is characteristic of Scandinavian craftsmanship of the 1970s, which produced mirrors, hooks and shelves in a gentle Brutalist spirit, celebrating the graining and knots of the wood.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Sound wood with fine honey patina, original glass possibly showing probable foxing or micro-scratches from use. A mirror full of charm for an entrance hall, a dressing room or a washroom of natural spirit.
