DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This spectacular pair of large bronze birds embodies all the savoir-faire of French animal sculpture. Crafted in finely patinated bronze and mounted on stands, it stands out for the precision of the modelling, the rendering of the plumage and the striking expression of each bird, testaments to a true decorative art.
Bronze animal sculpture, heir to the great Parisian bronze houses of the 19th century — Barye, Mêne, Bonheur — experienced a particularly rich renewal in the 20th century, carried by specialised foundry workshops. Each piece is made using the lost-wax technique, a guarantee of unrivalled finesse of detail and quality of execution.
The bird, a universal decorative motif loaded with strong symbolism — freedom, elevation, observation — is one of the favourite subjects of French animal sculptors. Presented as a pair, these large birds compose a harmonious and statuesque ensemble, perfectly suited to the decoration of a fireplace, a console or a library.
They will sublimate both classical and contemporary interiors. Good overall condition, with the patina characteristic of antique bronze, a guarantee of authenticity.
