DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
A black plastic “Segmenti” coat stand designed by Michele De Lucchi and Tadao Takaichi for Kartell, Italy, 1989. As its name suggests, the model is built up in segments, and its vertical black plastic silhouette gives it a graphic presence in an entrance hall. The material, light and durable, lends itself to everyday use.
Founded in Milan in 1949, Kartell became one of the leading producers of plastic furniture, entrusting its models to well-known designers. An Italian architect and designer, Michele De Lucchi is one of the key figures of Italian design in the 1980s. This coat stand reflects a period when plastic, an industrial material, was fully embraced as a design material. It will find its place in an entrance hall, an office or a bedroom.
