DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This magazine rack features a structure in dark green lacquered metal wire forming two compartments with scrolled profiles. The sides are animated with twisted gilt wires stretched in a lattice, bringing lightness and whimsy to the silhouette. A curved brass carrying handle, with scrolls at the fixings, allows the object to be moved easily, resting on four small feet.
This work of lacquered metal wire enhanced with brass is emblematic of French household arts of the 1950s, in the spirit of the creations of Mathieu Matégot or the Parisian workshops of the period, which reinvented everyday objects with wit and elegance.
Condition report: Good general condition. Even green lacquer with some occasional marks of use, gilt wires and brass handle with a soft patina; stable structure. A chic and practical accessory, to slip beside a sofa or a reading armchair.
