DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This magazine rack features a bent bamboo structure forming two superimposed basket handles that delimit the compartments. The walls are openworked with a series of rattan arches in elongated loops, rhythming the front with an elegant repeated motif, while rattan-pith ligatures sheathe the joints. The slightly flared base ensures a stable footing for the whole.
This supple and graphic work in bent rattan is characteristic of Italian production of the 1960s, in the line of Bonacina and the peninsula's workshops which raised basketry to the rank of design, with these free loops typical of the Mediterranean taste of the period.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Sound bamboo and rattan with a warm honey patina, ligatures in place, stable structure. A practical and decorative accessory at the foot of a sofa or a reading armchair.
