DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This bar cart features three superimposed oval tiers of clear glass, each set in a moulded gilt brass frame and surrounded by a finely pierced openwork baluster gallery. The fluted uprights, punctuated with gilt balls at the junction of the upper tier, descend to four original castors that ease service.
This tiered oval silhouette, of great neoclassical elegance, allows this piece to be stylistically linked to the productions of Maison Jansen, the great Parisian decorating house founded in 1880, supplier to the royal courts, whose brass and glass serving carts are among the classics of the genre.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Gilt brass with a beautiful even, slightly amber patina, the glass possibly showing probable surface micro-scratches inherent to use, functional castors. A refined serving piece, perfect as a mobile side table or as a tea table.
