DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

This champagne bucket features a tulip-shaped body with a widely flared neck, resting on a moulded circular pedestal foot with a gadrooned frieze. Two lateral grips of finely chased lions' heads, holding mobile rings in their mouths, animate the belly with character.

The lion's-head-and-ring motif, inherited from the Louis XVI and Empire Neoclassical repertoire, is a great classic of French table silverwork, taken up throughout the 20th century by the houses specialising in quality silvered metal.

Condition report: Good general condition. Silvering with an even patina of use with some marks and surface micro-scratches inherent to the function. A bucket of fine presence, perfect on a reception table or a bar.
