DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This ice bucket takes the form of a perfect cube in plexiglass tinted a deep, translucent blue. The lid is animated by a disc pivoting on a discreet metal axis, which uncovers the circular opening with a simple rotation — a mechanism as simple as it is ingenious. The purity of the volume and the depth of the tint make it as much an object of use as a small bar sculpture.
This piece is a creation of Cini & Nils, the Milanese manufacturer founded in the 1960s, famous for its tableware and light fittings of great formal rigour, perfectly representative of the radical and playful Italian design of the 1970s.
Condition report: Good general condition. Plexiglass of a fine uniform tint, possibly showing likely minor surface scratches inherent to use, functional pivoting mechanism. A witty bar accessory, to be placed on a bar cart or a tray.
