DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

Each sconce takes the form of a slender horn dressed in a mirror engraved with floral decoration, crowned with a bouquet of glass-bead flowers and gilt tole leaves. At the base, two gilt metal light arms spring out in opposing curves, adorned with a central foliate floweret, corolla bobèches and faceted drops; the candle sleeves are dressed as drip-effect candles.

The marriage of engraved mirror, gilt tole and beaded flowers is one of the signatures of Maison Baguès, the famous Parisian lighting house whose naturalistic and precious vocabulary won over the greatest decorators, as far as the Neoclassical taste across the Atlantic.

Condition report: Good overall condition. Gilding slightly patinated by time, mirrors and beads well preserved, possible surface micro-scratches. Electricity checked by an electrician. A refined pair that will poetically dress a bedroom, a hallway or a living room.
